In Term 1, we are learning about how our voices can be used in different ways. We have singing voices, whisper voices, speaking voices, yelling voices and funny voices.
We use our singing voice when we sing our School Song at assemblies. Here are some pictures of us practising the actions for the School Song.
In Term 1, we are learning to apply our knowledge of quarter notes, pairs of eighth notes and rests to compose our very own simple rhythm patterns and songs. We are looking forward to recording our songs not just on paper, but with our classroom iPads to share with a wider audience using the Boomwhackers.
Hello, my name is Toni Gallant and I have been a member of the South Kalgoorlie Primary School Staff for 5 years. This year I reside in the Music Room and have the pleasure of working with students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 in their classes as well as through the Junior and Senior Choirs. Music is a passion that I am happy to say I share with many of the students at SKPS!
